Centerbridge raised CPREF I, its first dedicated real estate fund, in 2018 to continue the Firm’s successful approach to real estate investing. The real estate platform currently totals over $4 billion in AUM and is investing out of its second vintage opportunistic fund. Since the Firm's inception, over $12 billion has been deployed in real estate investments across three investment types: Operating Companies, Programmatic Joint Ventures and Special Situations. The CPREF Funds execute a strategy focused on targeted themes, with broad capabilities to invest in Operating Companies, Programmatic Joint Ventures and Special Situations.
The Real Estate Credit strategy is distinguished by its flexible mandate, enabling execution across a broad spectrum of investment types. These include senior mortgages, stretch senior and construction loans, and subordinate loans. Furthermore, the strategy possesses the capability to invest in securities and special situations. It encompasses a diverse array of asset classes, spanning both traditional and alternative sectors.
